Napoleon Leaving the Lobau after the Defeat at the Battle of Aspern is a history painting made in 1845 by Austrian artist Anton von Perger. This oil on canvas measures 115.7 × 147 cm and is held in a private collection.
Wrapped in a white cloak, Napoleon stands in a boat among officers and boatmen. Other boats and troops appear in the distance beneath a dark sky. The subject recalls the aftermath of the Battle of Aspern-Essling on 21–22 May 1809, after which the French forces withdrew to Lobau Island. Painted thirty-six years later, the scene is a retrospective historical interpretation.
