Relief-Disques, a masterpiece by Robert Delaunay created in 1936, embodies the quintessence of abstraction and artistic innovation of the 20th century. This iconic painting, with its dynamic geometric shapes and vibrant colors, showcases Delaunay’s mastery in exploring the effects of light and color. As a major figure of the Orphism movement, Delaunay pushed the boundaries of realism to create a work that continues to inspire and captivate art lovers worldwide.
