The award-winning books of Kinderboekenweek 1987
This Dutch poster brings together the bekroningen, or awards, of Kinderboekenweek 1987. It features the Gouden Griffel awarded to Harriët van Reek for De avonturen van Lena Lena and the Gouden Penseel awarded to Dieter Schubert for Monkie.
An award list organised by prize and age
Beneath the two gold awards, six columns list the Zilveren Griffels, Zilveren Penselen and Vlag en Wimpel mentions. The books are grouped by age — up to 6, 6 to 10, 10 to 13, and 13 and over — together with an information-book category.
Dutch typography in vivid colours
The broad blue ground combines a green date, the handwritten yellow word “bekroningen” and white panels outlined in black. Stylised claws and paintbrushes in gold, silver, green, red, blue and magenta organise this dense survey of Dutch children’s literature.

Our frames measure 1.7 cm on each side. For a 40x60 cm painting, the total framed size is therefore 43.4 x 63.4 cm.
Canvas 100% polyester (285 g/m²), UV-resistant and solvent-free inks, safe for children and allergy sufferers. The canvases are mounted on a 2 cm thick wooden frame (4 cm for very large formats).
