The Adoration of the Magi, after Edward Burne-Jones, brings together the Virgin and Child, Joseph, an angel and the three kings in a horizontal composition. The Nativity shelter stands on the left; the kings approach from the right, while the angel occupies the centre. The design was conceived for a tapestry, not a vertical painting.
In The Adoration of the Magi, red, blue and gold robes stand out against dark woodland. Flowers across the foreground connect the figures and fill the spaces between their garments. The alternation of standing and seated figures, restrained gestures and lowered gazes gives the scene a quiet, solemn rhythm.
A reproduction of The Adoration of the Magi can bring this religious scene into a living room, hallway or reading space. The product offered is a printed reproduction, not a woven tapestry. Compare the materials, sizes and framing options on the product page to find a presentation suited to your wall.
